Jason Goldstein
Keys for the stage, studio, and practice room. Rooted in jazz, raised on funk and soul. Based in Los Angeles.

I grew up inside the music.
My uncle, Bobby Caldwell, was one of the biggest influences in my life. I spent my earliest years listening to him and singing alongside him, and his phrasing, groove, and musical intuition are in my blood.
I studied jazz piano and composition in New Orleans, and that program shaped how I play, my ear for arrangement, and my love of live tracking. Now based in Los Angeles, people call me for acoustic piano, Hammond B3, Rhodes, saxophone, trumpet, and vocals — as a session multi-instrumentalist, producer, and arranger — and I'm most at home in funk, jazz, and R&B.
I've toured and tracked with artists like Macy Gray, Cory Henry, Jennifer Hudson, James Blake, Monica Martin, and Scary Pockets, and worked alongside producers like Sammy Witte and AG. On stage or in the studio, I try to bring the same thing every time: something authentic, versatile, and soulful.
